Siddu (The Real King Food of Himachal People)
This is not normal roti or dosa. Siddu is steamed bread type thing filled with dry fruits or daal. They put ghee on top and serve hot. You can eat this with chutney or sabzi and feel full and happy. Locals love Siddu beacuse of the taste. It takes little time to make but once you try to eat, you will say crazy this is the best.
Trout Fish
This fish come from cold river, not like market one. They cook it crispy or in gravy style. If you like fish, then you need to try this one, and only few dhabas make it good, so ask local people where to go for this fish. It is fresh too, so that means it is healthy and tasty too.
Thenthuk and Momos
Because Manali has many Tibetan people, their food also came in Manali, and thenthuk is like soup with noodles and veggies, and it is very warm for cold weather and it is delicious too. And i guess momos you already know but in Manali, they taste better. Try to steamed one, not only fried.
Apple (Juice, jam, pie)
Manali has so many apple trees. So here you get best apple juice, jam, and even apple. You can also buy apple pickle, it is sweet and khatta too, and if you go to Manali during apple season, the smell of apple comes from road also. You can get some of these from local markets and try to eat them during camping at night.
