Where Can I Do Paragliding in Manali?

When people think of Manali, one of the first adventurous things that comes to mind is paragliding. Beacuse everyone loves to fly in the open sky, feeling the cold wind on your face, and watching the mountains from above it is something you never forget. And if you are coming to Manali, then you will find many spots for paragliding. But today, I will tell you about the best places, especially (Fojal Valley), which is my personal favorite.

Fojal Valley (The Hidden Gem for Paragliding)

Fojal Valley is not crowded as other paragliding spots in Manali like Solang valley, and that is why it feels so peaceful. Beacuse the valley is around 15 to 20 minutes away from Manali town, and when you take off from Fojal valley for paragliding, then you can see green fields, lots  of apple trees , and small villages under you. The flights in Fojal valley are longer compared to some other spots so you get more time in the air, and specially the pilots are also experienced and friendly, making you feel safe and confident. So if you want a calmer, more natural experience without too much crowd, Fojal Valley is perfect for you.

Solang Valley (The Famous Spot in Manali)

Solang Valley is the most popular paragliding place in Manali. It is always full of tourists and couples, and you can also try other adventure activities here like skiing (in winters), zorbing, and ATV rides. When you try paraliding from Solang valley, then the views from the top are totally awsome, you will see lots of snow covered  mountains and the Beas River flowing down below. But because it is famous, so it can be a bit busy too, especially in peak season like March to july.

Marhi

Marhi is located on the way to Rohtang Pass, and it offers paragliding from higher peakes, and the experience of Paralgiidngin Fojal valley is thrilling because you fly over big open landscapes with of snow and green trees. Even, Marhi is not always open for Paragligding, especially in winters when the road Marhi to Rohtang is fully closed due to snow falls.

Gulaba

Gulaba is one of the beautifull and quite spots for paraglidings, and it is located little far from Manali, i mean it is on the Rohtang route. But is has less crowd than Solang, and they offers amazing views. The ride Gulaba  is smooth and perfect, especially if you want a more relaxing experience.

Bonus Tip

If you want a long, peaceful, and truly special paragliding experience in Manali, then choose Fojal Valley. And always choose licensed and experienced pilots. Wear some comfortable clothes, and do not eat too much or any heavy food before your flight. And for a safe and memorable adventure, book your flight with trusted locals like Herculean Himalayas.
