Manali in Monsoon – Not Bad, Actually Magical

Some people thinks that going Manali in Mansoon is not right, they always say, Do not go Manali in rain season. They say land slide too much, slippery roads, and all that. But I still went. In July. And trust me I do not regret at all. Yes, monsoon in hills is little risky. But also, it is full of magic if you go with open mind. When we reached in Manali,we see out first rain, all mountain were looking good. Trees looks beautifull after raining leaves shine, and flowers look fresh. Even roads look clean and new. It feel like someone washed the whole Manali and made it brand new.

Waterfalls:

During monsoon, waterfalls come again. Even small water falls look big.
You do not even have to go far from Manali, small walk behind old Manali, you see water flowing fast. And that sound of water with fog around it Feels like movie scene.When rain is falling you can sit under tin roof, holding garam chai and plate of hot maggi. That moment is good for nature of Manlali. Even if you not go for adventure, just sitting and watching rain in hills give full peace to heart.

Adventure Activities:

Not all activity work in rain. but you can try rafting, rafting is best activitie in Manali during monsoon, As we know rafting is only possible with water and during mansson season rafting becomes more thrill. And Just go with local teams who know what is safe in monsoon.

One such group I knew from before helped us again this  team from Manali told which activity is open and kept us safe too.

What to Avoid in Monsoon:

  • Do not  trek alone

  • Do not drive too far in heavy rain

  • Do not go to very high points like Rohtang (many times it closes)

  • Do not wear slippery shoes

  • And keep power bank light goes sometimes

Final Thought:

People think monsoon is bad for travel, and it is not real, if you go slow, stay smart, and follow locals monsoon becomes magic. Manali in rain is not just wet it makes you alive. And it gives you moments that dry season can not give. Enjoy every moment no matter what season is it.

My First Skiing In Manali

When i was in my city i thought it is winter now, and i decided to go Manali but I never thought I will ever ski in life. I used to see snow and skiing in movies, people wearing goggles, colorful jackets, and sliding on ice. But when I finally reached Manali in Manali.
